Project Management experience is advantageous but not a requirement for this position.Neel-Schaffer is an Engineering News-Record Top 250 engineering firm for many years running. This tenet resonates today as the firm supports and promotes a culture of continuous improvement, fostered by Neel-Schaffer’s Core Values of Care, Service, and Excellence.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.Licensed Professional Engineer (with capability of becoming licensed in AL within 6 months).6 to 15 years of progressive transportation/roadway design experience on transportation projects, including schematic development, preparation of plans, specifications and estimates.Experience working with design team; leading and managing design staff a plus.Experience in roadway plan production, OpenRoads Designer, corridor modeling, template creation, importing/displaying alignment data and creating cross sections.Strong verbal communication and analytical skills.Proficiency in MicroStation V8i SS2, V8i SS10 and/or OpenRoads Designer (preferred).Familiar with ALDOT Standards, AASHTO Green Book, AASHTO Roadside Design Guide, MUTCD, ADA, PROWAG, etc.Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.Valid driver’s license.Equal Opportunity Employer
