We Match.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Project Manager – Trucking OperationsLocation: Kamloops, BC | onsite 5 days Reports To: General ManagerPosition Type: Full-TimeWe are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the execution of large-scale hauling and logistics projects across multiple active sites in British Columbia. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing up to 120 trucks operating across four concurrent projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable execution. This role will play a key leadership position within the company, managing project teams, monitoring performance metrics, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and subcontractors.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Leadership & ExecutionLead and coordinate all aspects of hauling projects from mobilization through demobilization.Develop and implement project execution plans, schedules, and resource plans.Oversee daily fleet operations, ensuring trucks are utilized efficiently and according to plan.Manage and support site supervisors and ensure alignment with company objectives.Operational & Financial OversightTrack project budgets, costs, and profitability, identifying variances and opportunities for improvement.Review and approve timesheets, invoices, and project cost reports.Forecast manpower, equipment, and material needs across multiple job sites.Ensure proper documentation for all loads, tickets, and billing.Client & Stakeholder ManagementServe as the main point of contact for clients on assigned projects.Ensure client expectations are met or exceeded for safety, quality, and schedule.Resolve issues quickly and maintain professional communication at all levels.Team Leadership & SafetyDirectly manage site supervisors, safety representatives, and dispatch coordination.Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.Ensure compliance with CVSE and all relevant provincial regulations.Work closely with the Safety Rep to ensure company safety policies are implemented on all sites.Reporting & Performance TrackingPrepare weekly project performance and profitability reports for the General Manager.Monitor key performance indicators including productivity, fuel efficiency, and truck utilization.Support post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and process improvements.QualificationsMinimum 5–7 years of experience in trucking, logistics, or heavy civil project management.Proven ability to lead large, multi-site operations (100+ trucks preferred).Strong understanding of cost tracking, dispatch coordination, and resource planning.Experience working with First Nations or industrial clients is an asset.Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Proficient with project management and fleet tracking software.Valid Class 5 driver’s license; Class 1 considered an asset.Why Join UsLead major hauling operations with a growing company known for reliability and performance.Competitive compensation package, vehicle allowance, and benefits.Opportunities for career advancement and professional development.Work locally in the Kamloops area with supportive leadership and a strong operational team.
