MMPAR provides advanced radar and sensor capability to detect, track, and classify artillery and missile threats — enhancing situational awareness and the survivability of deployed land forces.To progress toward Gate 2 (Investment Committee / National Security Committee), Army requires focused project support for documentation, integration planning, testing, and FIC implementation.This role directly supports SO1 Long Range Fires within the LFP and contributes to defining the technical and operational baseline for a critical sovereign capability.💼 Position DescriptionTitle: Senior Project Manager – LAND 8113-2 MMPAR RFQTS: 16746 | LCD-25-0097 – MMPAR Project Support Location: Russell Offices, Canberra ACT Duration: 15 December 2025 – 30 June 2026 (with extension options) Clearance: Top Secret Positive Vet (TS-PV) – Essential Reports to: SO1 Long Range Fires Client: Army – Land Capability Division (LCD) / Land Fires Program (LFP)1️⃣ Role PurposeProvide high-level project management, documentation, and integration support to the Land Fires Program for delivery of the Land 8113-2 Mounted Mobile Protected Artillery Radar (MMPAR) capability.This role drives the preparation of Project Documentation Suite (PDS) artefacts, leads planning for Initial In-Service Support (IIS) and Operational Test & Evaluation (OT&E) activities, and ensures the coordinated implementation of Fundamental Inputs to Capability (FIC) for the MMPAR battery.Your work ensures the project’s documentation, risk management, and readiness are complete and aligned with Defence CLC expectations, supporting the transition through Gate 2 and acquisition.2️⃣ Key Responsibilities✨ Prepare and coordinate PDS documentation — including the Concept of Employment, IC Business Case, Cost Model, Operational Concept Document, and supporting artefacts. ✨ Lead and support IIS planning and readiness for service entry. ✨ Coordinate OT&E planning and execution to confirm performance, suitability, and acceptance. ✨ Oversee FIC delivery for the MMPAR battery, ensuring balanced capability outcomes. ✨ Engage extensively across ADF, APS, and industry to manage dependencies, identify risks, and achieve approval milestones. ✨ Provide structured progress and risk reports to SO1 Long Range Fires and participate in project governance forums. ✨ Maintain WHS compliance, configuration control, and adherence to security protocols. ✨ Ensure auditability and quality assurance for Gate 2 readiness documentation.3️⃣ Key DeliverablesApproved PDS artefacts (Concept of Employment, IC Business Case, Cost Model, OCD).IIS and OT&E plans and completion reports.FIC implementation plan with validated progress metrics.Maintained risk registers and mitigation reporting.Input to governance briefs, IC/NSC committee submissions, and progress dashboards.4️⃣ Skills & ExperienceEssential criteria ✅ Demonstrated Defence project management experience within the Capability Life Cycle, delivering PDS artefacts and supporting Gate 2 IC/NSC submissions. ✅ Proven authorship of PDS documents (CoE, IC Business Case, Cost Model, OCD). ✅ Strong background in IIS and OT&E for complex Defence systems (preferably radar or missile). ✅ Experience implementing FIC across multi-stakeholder environments. ✅ Excellent Defence stakeholder engagement, reporting, and communication skills. ✅ Understanding of AESA radar and Tactical Data Links integration principles. ✅ High initiative, autonomy, and reliability under tight timeframes.Desirable criteria 💡 Familiarity with Protected Mobility Command variants (LAND 8113 Ph 1 & 2). 💡 Experience in Defence acquisition or technical documentation supporting radar/fires programs. 💡 Formal project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent). 💡 Understanding of Defence WHS and risk frameworks.5️⃣ Personal Attributes⭐ Results-driven and detail-focused. ⭐ Strong interpersonal and stakeholder rapport skills. ⭐ Autonomous yet collaborative. ⭐ Ethical, accountable, and aligned with Defence Values of Service, Courage, Respect, Integrity, and Excellence.6️⃣ Key StakeholdersSO1 Long Range Fires (Project lead)Land Fires Program Office (Army LCD)CASG Acquisition teamsDSTG scientists and test authoritiesIndustry partners supporting MMPAR integration7️⃣ Performance Indicators📈 Timely and compliant delivery of approved PDS artefacts. 📈 Effective IIS & OT&E coordination and reporting. 📈 High stakeholder satisfaction and proactive risk management. 📈 Positive governance feedback and milestone compliance. 📈 Full adherence to Defence security & WHS requirements.8️⃣ Additional Details📍 Work pattern: Full-time on-site at Russell Offices (Canberra). 📆 Start: 15 December 2025 (subject to contract award). 🕓 End: 30 June 2026 (extensions possible). 🔒 Clearance: TS-PV (essential).💬 What You’ll GainWorking through Azooa means joining a trusted delivery partner to the Commonwealth, with a local support team that values professionalism and work-life balance.
