As a result of recent project acquisitions, our organisation is experiencing sustained growth, and we are seeking a motivated and ambitious team member to join our team.For more information about our company, please visit our website at Home - Metzner Project Management (metznerpm.com) or https://metznerpm.com. The PositionsAs a Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer (either Electrical or Civil / Structural) on the client side, you will oversee multiple projects simultaneously from initial concept to completion. This role involves collaborating with clients and projects’ stakeholders throughout each project to meet set milestones and objectives. You will report directly to the director and receive support / mentoring as needed. Responsibilities include project managing a portfolio of multidisciplinary projects, typically ranging in value from $500k to $40 million, and / or providing project engineering services for major infrastructure projects up to $200 million in value.The company is seeking an electrical engineer and a civil / structural engineer holding at least a bachelor’s degree or higher, to fill the two Project Manager roles. Duties cover project initiation, planning, due diligence, oversight of engineering and design phases, development approvals, tendering, procurement, and all stages of construction through commissioning and close-out. The positions also require contract and commercial negotiation and control during tender and construction phases.Additional expectations include the management of WHS and environmental standards, application of technical and field engineering knowledge, comprehensive reporting on budgets, schedules, and stakeholders, as well as ensuring Quality management. Effective communication among stakeholders and fostering client relationships are essential components of these roles.About YouBachelor Degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering (preferably) or Civil / Structural EngineeringAt least 10 years+ project management / delivery experience, preferably working for a consultancy or on the client-side, eg. as project manager or senior project engineerIdeally experience working in the heavy industry and / or (local) government experience with working on construction sitesThrives working in a challenging, fast-paced environment, ability to multi-task, managing multiple projects and multiple clients at a timeConsultative approach to stakeholder engagement and strong interpersonal and communication skillsOutstanding attention to detail with a solution-focused approach to problem-solving and strong client focusA can-do attitude with a proactive and self-motivated approach to workLegally permitted to work in Australia permanently.
