Do you want to work to make a difference for NSW?Working to protect the state’s environment and heritageProject Officer (Clerk Grade 7-8)Temporary Full-time role available till July 2027Office location – WollongongPackage includes salary ($113,574.00 - $125,720.00), employer's contribution to superannuation About The RoleNational Parks and Wildlife Service has a unique opportunity for Project Officer role to work as part of the team and contribute towards the conservation of the natural environment, flora, fauna and Aboriginal heritage.The Project Officer is responsible for providing diverse project management and support services, including preparation of reports and briefs, coordinating resources, maintaining project documentation, and implementing and monitoring project plans. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a high performing team to support the achievement of organisational objectives.The Project Officer will have a focus in supporting the delivery and operations of the Illawarra Mountain Bike project and other key projects within the Illawarra Highlands Area.About YouAs a Project Officer you are adept at managing competing priorities and working collaboratively with inter-connected teams. Ideally, you have exposure to high-volume work within a large complex organisation or similar and have a passion for achieving outcomes in a changing and diverse work environment.You are adept at problem solving, enjoy handling diverse and complex data, and are enthusiastic about learning and applying technological solutions.You’ll also be highly motivated and an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across a range of stakeholders both in person and through virtual networks.
