We are seeking a Project Officer to provide hands-on support for international activities, contributing to their development, implementation, and dissemination. About the RoleAs Project Officer, you will play a key supportive role in IF’s international projects aimed at primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention of SBH. You will coordinate logistics, facilitate collaboration with members and partners, manage data, and support reporting and guideline development. You will also assist in communication of project outcomes through various platforms, ensuring projects run smoothly and efficiently.  Key Responsibilities Manage logistical and administrative aspects of project activities, including meetings, workshops, and digital platforms.Provide hands-on support to the team.Support data management, reporting, and development of guidelines.Coordinate interaction with international members and broader networks for joint projects, endorsements, translations, and meetings.Assist in producing and publishing project-related articles across platforms (social media, website, journals).Contribute to project planning, scheduling, and follow-up to ensure timely implementation.Support proposal preparation, evaluation, and budget monitoring as required.Profile You are an organized and proactive professional, capable of multitasking and supporting complex international projects. You thrive in collaborative environments but can also work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks.Essential Skills and ExperienceResidency in Belgium or the Netherlands (required).Maximum of 7 years of relevant professional experience in project assistance or coordination.Proven ability to build effective relationships with multidisciplinary stakeholders.Experience delivering multi-faceted projects; healthcare or NGO experience is an asset.Grant report writing and support in grant proposal preparation to obtain activity funding.Strong task management skills, ability to keep an overview of multiple activities, and efficient planning of work.Capacity to support working groups and project teams in delivering results.Experience with data management.Knowledge of European Commission funding and reporting processes is an advantage.Master’s degree in science, healthcare, project management, or related field.Experience in member-based organizations and working closely with advisory groups and or youth networks.Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a strong eye for detail.Ability to work independently, take initiative, and meet deadlines.Fluency in English; additional languages such as French and/or Flemish are an asset.Strong motivation, positive attitude, and solution-oriented approach. Why Join IF? Be part of a dynamic and diverse international team working for inclusion and human rights.Shape communication strategies that amplify the voices of people with Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus globally.Flexible, hybrid working model based in Brussels (remote work possible).Opportunity to grow professionally in a meaningful, impact-driven environment. Interested?
