Project Scheduler

Position Overview:CodeRed Business Solutions is seeking a skilled Project Scheduler with experience in the public transit and construction industry to support major infrastructure and capital improvement projects across the Los Angeles region. In this role, you will play a key part in developing, analyzing, and maintaining complex project schedules that drive performance and ensure on-time delivery for large-scale transit initiatives.This is a hybrid position, requiring candidates to be located within a reasonable commuting distance of Metro Los Angeles. While some work may be performed remotely, regular onsite collaboration with project teams, clients, and stakeholders will be essential to success in this role.You will join a team committed to improving the quality, reliability, and efficiency of public transportation systems, contributing meaningful work to the advancement of critical transit infrastructure. This role is anticipated to begin in Q1 2026, and selected candidates will be engaged in preliminary coordination and onboarding activities prior to project launch.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, maintain, and manage multiple project schedules, including regular progress tracking and updatesCollaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to gather scheduling inputCreate and support the development of CPM schedules, including resource and cost loading where requiredAssess critical path, cost-loading accuracy, schedule logic, lags, constraints, milestones, and overall schedule healthReview and interpret project documents, including drawings, specifications, and contract requirementsIdentify, quantify, and support mitigation of schedule-related risksPerform construction claims and delay analysis, including as-built preparation, schedule analysis, document review, key issue analysis, and creation of visual exhibitsContribute to expert reports and client-facing deliverablesMonitor industry trends and best practices to continuously improve scheduling methodologies for public transit infrastructure projectsRequired Qualifications & SkillsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field5–10 years of experience in scheduling within the public transit and construction sectorsStrong theoretical and practical understanding of the Critical Path Method (CPM)Knowledge of schedule delay principles and analysis techniquesAbility to read and interpret construction documents at all stages of designProficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong analytical aptitude and problem-solving skillsExcellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlinesConfident working independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environmentsStrong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with owners, subcontractors, senior leaders, and project stakeholdersCommitment to quality, integrity, and improving public transit infrastructureStrong organizational and time-management skillsHybrid work arrangement availableDesired QualificationsPMI or AACE certifications (e.g., PMI-SP, AACEI-PSP)Experience with additional scheduling tools (Microsoft Project, Deltek Open Plan)Background working for a general contractor in the public transit industryExperience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and performance integrationAbout UsCodeRed Business Solutions Inc.
