In this position, you’ll represent the sourcing function within cross-functional project teams, making sure our sourcing strategies align seamlessly with project requirements. Your engineering know-how and strategic sourcing expertise will help us deliver on both project and business objectives.As part of the project team, you’ll be involved in creating innovative products that will serve our customers for years to come. This role calls for strategic thinking, creativity, and a sharp eye for detail.Role And ResponsibilitiesYou’ll act as the sourcing representative in projects related to New Product Introductions (NPIs) and Product Change Assignments (PCAs). This means evaluating and selecting suppliers, negotiating agreements, and ensuring everything aligns with global sourcing strategies and project needs. You’ll work closely with suppliers to integrate their insights and innovations, helping us enhance product performance and value.Your role also includes identifying external technologies that complement our internal capabilities, managing product phase-ins and phase-outs, and collaborating with colleagues across sourcing, engineering, product development, and management. Compliance with company policies, quality standards, and sustainability goals will be part of your daily focus. You’ll also prepare sourcing reports and share updates and recommendations with management.QualificationsYou have a university degree in engineering or equivalent, and ideally additional qualifications in supply chain, procurement, or project management. With at least five years of experience in project sourcing, strategic sourcing, or supply chain—preferably in a multinational industrial setting—you bring proven skills in project management and total cost sourcing.Your technical understanding allows you to translate engineering requirements into sourcing actions. You’re experienced in supplier evaluation, negotiation, and contract management, and familiar with ERP systems, ISO, TQM, and modern management tools. Fluency in English is essential and Swedish or other languages are a plus.Who You AreYou’re a strong communicator who thrives in cross-functional and cross-cultural environments. You have a proactive mindset, a structured and analytical approach and you think strategically. Your commercial acumen and negotiation skills are top-notch, and you’re passionate about continuous improvement and achieving results. Integrity and reliability are at the core of how you work.On the technical side, you bring knowledge in mechanical engineering and a strong understanding of manufacturing processes. This includes hands-on knowledge of metal fabrication, machining and plastic processing technologies such as injection molding. Your background enables you to interpret complex technical requirements and actively contribute to product development, while working closely with engineering teams and suppliers to ensure optimal design and production outcomes.What Success Looks LikeYou’ll meet project cost, quality, and timing targets, implement sourcing strategies that align with business needs, and contribute to ongoing improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
