We offer standardized transport as well as highly specialized end-to-end solutions to customers in a wide range of industries globally.DGF UAE has an opening for Project Specialist role in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.Join us in connecting people and improving lives!Job PurposeDevelop and administer customer operations plans and processes to deliver efficient logistics processes and results in the supply chain of a specific client using multimodal means of transportation and provide support to sales team in line with the business strategy and requirements, corporate guidelines and policiesKey TasksExecute customer operations plans and processes to deliver efficient logistics processesExecute, manage and update orders received via the system including special and non-assigned ordersEnsure flow of goods and information across a customer’s global supply chain and provide resolution for order/ delivery issuesSupport sales team and respond to operations related requests from the sales team such as quotation, exception deal management, historical account overview, billing corrections, etc.Undertake delivery of cartage tours, monitor and achieve tour profitability, service quality and timelinesPromptly respond to customer enquiries, including conducting customer visits and understanding of customer requirementsTrack the available capacities and ensure optimum utilization as per the set objectivesResolve issues occurring in operational activities, report to management on events and exceptions, as necessaryEnsure systems are updated with the latest information on product shortages, expected delivery dates, price changes, etc.Draft reports related to customer inquiries, sales trends, customer complaints, delivery/service problems, reasons for product returns, etc. and evaluate efficiency of operational performance and deliveryInteract with other logistics operations departments, customer service and warehouse team to ensure smooth operationsComply with operating standards and procedures to provide cost-effective, superior and efficient customer serviceStudy and resolve issues in day-to-day customer operations and execute practices focusing on increasing effectiveness and efficiencyStakeholdersConnect with and influence other specialist departments and 3rd parties e.g. external service providersMay convince others to accept new concepts, practices, and approachesBuild strong, trusting cross-functional relationships with DHL managersUnderstand customer and key stakeholders interests and concerns and advise direct reports, customers and key stakeholdersProvide technical guidance to line managers and employeesManagement ResponsibilityIndividual contributor who may manage two or fewer employeesMay direct the work of other lower level professionals or manage processes and programsCoach and review the work of lower level professionalsSkillsCRM, Customer Support, Business Strategy, Quality Control, Account Management, Requirements Analysis, Process Improvement, Project Planning, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Warehouse Management, Order Processing, Tracking, Delivery, Returns, Value Added Services, Sales, Pricing, Forecasting, Technology Trends, E-Commerce, DHL Business Knowledge, Business Processes, Market Research, Project Management, Stakeholder Management, Influencing, Feedback, Presentation & Storytelling, FacilitationQualifications & Key RequirementsEducation LevelBachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience/qualificationExperience LevelMore than 4 yearsWe offer:Opportunities in a global company where you can contribute your ideas and skills to move towards our shared goals.Possible further career developmentCompetitive salaryWhy join DHL Global Forwarding?We are part of Deutsche Post DHL, the world’s leading logistics provider with operations in over 220 countries.
