**This is a temporary position with a 12 month duration**The Office of Chief Medical Examiner investigates cases of persons who die within New York City from criminal violence, by accident, by suicide, suddenly when in apparent health, when unattended by a physician, in a correctional facility or in any suspicious or unusual manner or where an application is made pursuant to law for a permit to cremate a body of a person.Our core purpose is to protect public health and serve impartial justice through forensic science and medicine. Duties will include, but not be limited to the following: Work closely with the HR Project Coordinator, leadership, and management Lead the requisition, build, implementation, and training of a HRIS liaising with all stakeholders appropriately Spearhead the development of unified standard operating procedures Analyze current workflows and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and employee experience Collect, analyze, and present metrics to support decision-making and strategic planning Streamlining and pushing forward existing projects including records and data migration, ensuring adherence to regulations Monitor adoption and feedback to refine program and ensure success Support internal audits appropriately, providing reports and data appropriatelySpecial Note Selected candidates will be required to provide a DNA sample by swabbing. This position has been identified as essential.
