Currently, we are implementing our programs in Gorkha, Jiri, and Khijidemba, serving over 6,800 children across 38 partner schools. Position SummaryThe Project Coordinator (PC) will support the Project Manager in implementing and monitoring CORN’s education-focused initiatives under the Accessibility Program for Education to Rural Children of Nepal, which includes the Nutrition Program, Scholarship Program, Library Management Program, and School Bus Program implemented across eight public community schools in Jiri Municipality.The role ensures program execution through effective day-to-day field coordination, school-level engagement, documentation, and data management. The PC acts as a bridge between the schools, local government, and the project team to ensure smooth implementation, timely reporting, and quality assurance.2. Key Responsibilities (but not limited to) are listed below:A. Program Coordination and ImplementationInvolve in planning and timely execution of school-level activities under all four programs and ensure all data reported back to the Project Manager (PM) is accurate and complete.Coordinate with schools, cooks, librarians, teachers, and SMCs to ensure smooth operation of the daily school lunch, bus, scholarship, and library activities.Follow up with schools to ensure timely execution of work plans, lunch menus, and activity schedules.Assist in logistical and administrative arrangements for trainings, orientations, and meetings.Ensure that issues arising at the school level (e.g., staff/school cook absenteeism, vendor delay, equipment malfunction) are communicated promptly to the Project Manager.Coordinate the conduction of the program, such as parents' seminars, stakeholder engagement, and organizing soft skills programs targeting students. Document the process and ensure that the reporting of the events is done properly.Accountable for being the first responder to daily operational challenges, identifying issues promptly, and communicating the problem with a proposed operational solution to the Project Manager for strategic approval.B. Monitoring and ReportingConduct regular school visits and submit visit reports using standardized formats. Collect data and documents from the school and update the data in the tracking sheet.Collect, verify, and compile data from schools on attendance, nutrition, library usage, scholarship records, and other indicators, and be accountable for the data diligence.Maintain up-to-date field tracking sheets and program documentation.Document success stories, photos, videos, and case studies highlighting program outcomes for marketing and visibility purposes.Support the development of monitoring tools, including checklists and questionnaires.Support in preparing weekly, monthly, and quarterly progress updates for internal review and donor reporting as mentioned belowReporting FrequencySubmit weekly updates on school-level program execution, such as lunch program, attendance data, and field activity summary, to the Project Manager.Submit a monthly report by compiling data and reports from social mobilizers and the school.Contribute to preparing quarterly and annual reports; contribute data and field observations for effective monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL)reportsC. Coordination and Stakeholder EngagementMaintain regular communication with school heads, ward representatives, and municipal education units.Support the Project Manager in organizing review meetings, parent engagement events, and stakeholder workshops, including monthly meetings with school cooks, librarians, and vendors.Support social mobilizers and collaborate with the school and municipality to collect essential data (e.g., BMI, attendance, stories, photos/videos).Represent CORN in local coordination meetings as delegated.Maintain professional and cooperative relationships with frontline stakeholders.D. Support to Supervision and Capacity BuildingWork closely with Social Mobilizers to guide and monitor their daily tasks.Provide technical and logistical support in conducting trainings and orientations for cooks, teachers, and parents.Gather feedback from field staff and schools to improve program delivery and share with the Project Manager.E. Administrative and Financial SupportWork closely with the administrative department to ensure all operational tasks are implemented in alignment with the approved budget and actual expenditures.Ensure accurate record-keeping of attendance, receipts, and activity documentation from schools.Collect vendor invoices and supporting documents for review and submission to the finance team.Support procurement processes at the local level as instructed.3. Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Development Studies, or a related field.Minimum 2–3 years of experience in education or community-based program implementation.Prior experience coordinating with schools and local governments is preferred.Strong communication, data collection, and reporting skills.Good command of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and G Suite.Fluency in both Nepali and English (written and verbal).4.
