Position SummaryExperienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of SCADA and automation systems for gas metering and leak detection projects in the oil & gas industry. The successful candidate will oversee the planning, execution, and commissioning of complex automation solutions, ensuring they meet project specifications, safety standards, and client requirements. Key ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end project management for the deployment of gas metering and leak detection systems, including hardware, software, and communication infrastructure. Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations. Coordinate with engineering teams, vendors, and contractors to ensure timely procurement, installation, and commissioning.
Define system requirements, specifications, and interface protocols in collaboration with clients and stakeholders. Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices. Oversee site activities, including installation, integration, testing, and commissioning of SCADA and automation systems. Manage change requests, scope variations, and client communications effectively. Lead project meetings, prepare progress reports, and facilitate stakeholder updates. Ensure quality assurance and control throughout the project lifecycle. Mentor and guide project team members, fostering a collaborative environment.
Qualifications & RequirementsMinimum of 2 years of project management experience in automation, SCADA, or control systems within the oil & gas sector. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, Automation, or related field; PMP or equivalent certification preferred. Proven experience managing gas metering, leak detection, or similar safety-critical automation systems. Strong understanding of communication protocols such as DNP3, Modbus, IEC 61850, OPC UA. Familiarity with control hardware (PLCs, RTUs), sensors, and instrumentation used in gas metering and leak detection. Knowledge of industry standards (API, IEC, ISA) and safety regulations. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
