Working in a dynamic and professional team, your well-rounded communication and negotiation skills will give you the opportunity to make a difference to benefit our community.You will undertake the responsibilities associated with Council's statutory property acquisition programs and will ensure that property activities are consistent with legislative requirements.With an emphasis on upskilling and professional development as well as the scale and diversity of the projects, this role is one not to be missed and will be significantly noteworthy in paving your future career within the property profession.EssentialRelevant Tertiary qualification in Property and/or Property Valuation such as Land Economy, Conveyancing, Diploma or equivalentRegistered or Licensed under relevant legislationDemonstrated experience in negotiating complex and sensitive property acquisitions, hardship claims and disposals and other property mattersHigh level understanding of the relevant legislative provisions relative to property including land acquisitions, compulsory acquisitions, hardship claims, purchase and disposal of propertyDemonstrated experience in reviewing, negotiating and drafting legal instruments relevant to property including sale contracts, leases and licensesExcellent verbal and written reporting skillsExcellent understanding of property agreements and relevant legislation applicable to these agreementsCurrent Class C driver's license and ability to inspect propertyDesirableExperience in Project ManagementLocal Government experiencePlease note: this position is subject to background checks which includes a National Criminal Check Clearance.
