            Job Description
            The Property Officer will support the development and implementation of policies and strategies which maintain and enhance performance, value, and utilisation of the built asset portfolio of the department. This position executes key performance strategies, associated policies.Your role within Social and Affordable Housing Growth will support the department to lead the delivery of enhanced housing outcomes through an integrated approach to overall supply. The work you will do helps someone every day, and that means the world to us.Through partnerships, The Social Housing Delivery Office provide and influence the provision of safe, secure, affordable, and appropriate housing to the people of Queensland, and the building of vibrant and connected precincts and communities in which they live.What You Will Be DoingSupport the development and delivery of portfolio strategies, programs and projects for the effective management of a major property portfolio that maximises the useful life of a property asset and identifying disposal and redevelopment opportunities that align the portfolio to need and optimises its performance.Investigate long term and chronic vacancy issues to develop solutions with service and program areas to ensure maximum utilisation of the housing portfolio.Conduct property market research and analysis to inform decision making, providing advice to stakeholders/management in relation to the effective management of the portfolio and sales program.Use property expertise, social housing business knowledge and the support of corporate systems to inform/ advise senior management regarding asset strategies, property sales, vacant dwellings, redevelopment sites and upgrades.Provide key input into the development and implementation of IT systems relating to strategic portfolio management.Prepare correspondence, briefings, reports, information papers and submissions, and other relevant documentation as required.Work Social Housing Delivery Office to inform the delivery of precinct-based portfolio strategies.Supporting and helping maintain a workplace safety culture by ensuring that all policies and practices concerning Workplace Health and Safety are applied and a part of day-to-day operations.Applications to remain current for 12 monthsOccupational group Building Services
