Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity We're looking for a Prosecutor to join our team, reporting into the Legal Counsel (Litigation).In this role you'll represent Auckland Transport to prosecute offences in multiple district courts around Auckland. Our prosecutors deal with parking offences, special vehicle lane offences, harbourmaster offences and public transport fare evasion offences.These matters are complex involving multiple Acts, regulations and rules therefore, we're looking for someone with a strong interest in litigation who is able to assist the court to join the dots. Ideally, you'll have some prosecution experience, and if you understand the infringement process - even better!This role allows you to see cases through from beginning to end so you'll need to have the confidence to appear in court and establish relationships with key court personnel, the patience and resilience to deal with conflict and emotional defendants, and the ability to think and respond quickly on your feet.Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?Dispute resolution / conflict management experienceA Legal qualification is preferred (but not essential if you have equivalent experience)Self-motivated but also a team playerHighly organised with excellent attention to detailConfident and resilient under pressureExcellent written and oral communications skillsExperience working in a confidential environment.Ko mātou tēnei | Our OrganisationAt Auckland Transport, people are at the heart of everything we do.
