At Masar, we are committed to transforming lives with empathy and care.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role for a Psychiatrist Consultant located in Jeddah. The Psychiatrist Consultant will assess, diagnose, and treat patients with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Responsibilities include monitoring patient progress, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and developing personalized care plans. The role also involves providing guidance to patients and their families on mental health and addiction recovery.Tasks and Job Responsibilities:To perform the professional duties of Psychiatrist consultant in accordance with the delineation of privileges as recommended by the CMO and approved by the Credentials and Privileging Committe.Provide regularly scheduled (usually weekly) caseload consultation. Case review consultations focus primarily on patients who are new to the caseload or who are not improving as expected under their current treatment plan.Works with psychology manager to oversee the status and population health of their assigned patient caseload.Advises on treatment for patients who may need more intensive or more specialized mental health care, supporting treatment in the medical setting until patients can be engaged in specialized care as appropriate.To perform his duties in the psychiatry clinic evaluating patients and analyzing their mental health status and providing the necessary treatment.Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, social workers, psychiatric nurses, or other professionals to discuss treatment plans and progressTo provide care to patients in the intermediate care unit and other wards.To provide consultation services to the inpatients in his area of expertise.Educate patients and their families according to patients’ condition.To share in the on-call duties of the psychiatry department. Provides after working hours on call emergency coverage for emergencies Participates in the staff meetings of the department Participates and contributes to the educational activities in the Center. Participates and contributes to all the quality management activities of the center (e.g. monthly mortality and morbidity meeting, peer review activities, audit and chart review, etc). Performs additional duties as assigned by the CMORequired Qualifications & Experience:1.  Board certification or equivalent in psychiatry from an accredited institution.2.  Licensed by SCFHS as a consultant3.   5 years experience in the field of addiction psychiatry after board or doctoral degree
