UPLVL has been featured in Forbes and Business Insider. https://www.uplvlagency.com/THE ROLE:As Account Manager at UPLVL Agency, you will oversee 2-5 founder brand PR accounts. This includes ideating PR strategies, coming up with timely and unique pitches, curating aligned media lists, executing media outreach, securing media opportunities, coordinating interviews, communicating with clients and the media, and overseeing the entire process from onboarding to strategy to pitch to publish. A PR pro who is a fit for this role is seasoned in being able to consistently secure earned media exposure by leveraging media relationships, coming up with unique and timely angles, newsjacking, and leveraging journalist queries — with a focus on podcasts, publication articles (digital and print) and TV segments.This person has a keen eye for media-worthy content — timely, urgent, unique, innovative, creative. They have excellent writing skills and a strong creativity muscle for coming up with angles and media opportunities that move the needle. They are proactive in leveraging the news cycle to secure media opportunities, and strategic in securing long lead and short lead media. They understand how PR and the news cycle works, they have their finger on the pulse of the news and move quickly to land a media hit.They are ambitious, resourceful and driven. They take the initiative to deliver beyond expectation and are self-motivated. This person leads with integrity, kindness, positivity, optimism, has a growth mindset and is an A+ team member. This person is confident in their ability to consistently secure media opportunities (digital, print, broadcast, podcast), and lead an efficient, effective PR campaign that blows our clients’ expectations out of the water. ***TO APPLY***Please email your resume, LinkedIn link, a list of recent and relevant media coverage you have secured (publications, podcasts, TV), and why you’re a good fit for this position to kayley@uplvlagency.com.RESPONSIBILITIES:Support new client onboarding calls with prepared questions, ideas and information gathering to build out a successful campaign strategy.Create a 6-month PR strategy for a client campaign, including short-lead, long-lead, newsjacking, journalist queries, new research/survey angles, and all other earned media exposure opportunities for client campaigns.Secure consistent media coverage that supports the client’s goals and moves the needle in their PR campaign.Develop client messaging and create compelling brand narratives that uniquely position our clients in the media.Develop written materials including pitches, monthly presentations, coverage recaps, and general client correspondence.Leverage existing relationships and build new relationships with media members to secure client media opportunities.Monitor the news, what’s trending, social media trends, viral headlines, daily news shows, and newsjack our clients into the news cycle.Ideate newsworthy and timely angles based on the client’s story, expertise, and proprietary research. Monitor journalist queries daily, present them to clients in a timely manner, edit and submit them back to journalists as quickly and efficiently as possible.Track and update your pitching and outreach progress using our project management and PR software.Maintain updated organization of all interviews secured, scheduled, upcoming, rescheduling and published.Efficiently coordinate press interviews with the client and the media contact, including preparing the client with necessary interview information, providing the media contact with client’s press assets, and overseeing the interview process ensuring it goes smoothly.Monitor for clients’ published interviews, confirm that all published information is correct.Maintain supportive client relations, communications, rapport and retention.Collaborate with the client and gather necessary information to build out new angles, pitches and ideas.We appreciate candidates who have a keen eye for detail. To demonstrate your attention to detail, please let us know the name of your favorite podcast when emailing your resume to kayley@uplvlagency.com.Prepare monthly progress reports for each client campaign and present them to clients and their team via video call.Maintain a positive, optimistic, supportive and uplifting sentiment with clients and members of the media as a representative member of UPLVL.SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:3+ years of direct public relations agency experience; experience working with founder/executive personal brands in the wellness, lifestyle, business, finance industries a plus; or direct experience working in a newsroom a plus.Proven experience securing top tier earned media coverage across online, broadcast and podcast channels.An understanding of the news cycle, editorial calendars, seasonal calendars, digital/print/broadcast angles, and podcast media.Experience working on PR campaigns for Founders, Experts, Executives and/or Authors.Strong written and verbal communication skills across a range of platforms (Slack, voice note, email, virtual client or team meetings, virtual presentations).Strong creative writing skills in developing pitches, bios, PR strategies, angles, etc.Strong and professional presentation skills - virtually presenting PR ideas, campaign updates and analytics to the internal team and external client teams.Highly organized and proactive in all communications, scheduling, bookings and deadlines.Capability to execute work efficiently under tight media deadlines and ability to move quickly with the news cycle.Creativity in bringing ideas to the table that best serve our clients, the media, and the UPLVL company.Confidence in taking initiative and communicating with clients via virtual messaging and video calls.Experience tracking PR/media metrics including but not limited to UVPM, viewership, domain ranking, listenership, etc.Familiarity with these softwares a plus: Propel My PR, ClickUp, Slack, Qwoted, Google Workspace, ChatGPT, Canva.Daily use and prompting knowledge of ChatGPT or other AI — a big plus.WHAT WE OFFER:-This is a part-time contracted, fully remote position -Opportunity to become a full-time position-Flexible hours-You will collaborate closely with our female-led team, Director of Client Relations Bryn Fallon and our CEO Kayley Hamilton who is a 2x Emmy Award-winning producer and former Hollywood reporter.-An exceptional company culture.
