Job Description

Responsibility:Strategy & Planning:Develop and implement a comprehensive PR and communications strategy aligned with business objectives.Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for PR activities and regularly report on ROI.Manage the PR budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources.Media Relations:Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key journalists, bloggers, influencers, and industry analysts.Proactively pitch story ideas, press releases, and bylined articles to secure high-quality media coverage in target publications (trade, national, and local).Act as a primary company spokesperson and manage all media inquiries.Organize press conferences, media briefings, and interviews.Content & Storytelling:Write, edit, and distribute compelling press releases, media alerts, fact sheets, and speeches.Develop compelling narratives around company milestones, product launches, and corporate initiatives.Contribute to owned media channels (blog, website) with PR-focused content.Reputation & Crisis Management:Monitor media coverage and public sentiment, providing regular analysis and reports to leadership.Develop and maintain a crisis communication plan.Serve as a key member of the crisis management team, providing timely and effective communication during sensitive situations.Internal & Executive Communications:Partner with senior leadership to build their personal brand and prepare them for public appearances and media interviews.Develop internal communication strategies to ensure company-wide alignment on key messages.Partnerships & Events:Identify and manage partnerships with relevant organizations, sponsorships, and events to increase brand visibility.Plan and manage company-hosted events, such as product launches or press days.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.Proven experience (typically 5+ years) working in a PR role, either in-house or at an agency.A proven track record of securing top-tier media coverage.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences.Strong existing relationships with members of the media.Experience in crisis management and communication.Ability to work proactively, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.Proficiency with PR software (e.g., Cision, Muck Rack, Meltwater) and media monitoring tools.
