Job RequirementsJob Summary: The Production Operator plays a key role in supporting various stages of the manufacturing process bysetting up, operating, and maintaining machinery, as well as handling raw materials and chemicals in a safe and efficientmanner. Responsibilities include performing roll and grade changes, adjusting equipment settings for ceramic systems,machine controls, and water systems, and operating control panels, chemical and air pumps, and defect detectionsystems to maintain high production quality. Operators are expected to accurately measure and cut materials, monitorpaper for defects, and maintain proper setup of knives and dies in accordance with converting worksheets. They are alsoresponsible for tracking and managing inventory of raw materials, chemicals, and supplies, ensuring proper usage anddocumentation in systems like Oracle. Additional duties include boxing, wrapping, and preparing products for shipment,maintaining a clean and organized work area, and following all plant, safety, and departmental rules. Operators mustperform equipment start-up and shutdown procedures, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and respond to changingproduction needs while upholding a strong commitment to safety, accuracy, and efficiency throughout themanufacturing process.Duties And Responsibilities Conduct all job duties in a professional, respectful, and responsible manner in alignment with company policies andprocedures. Consistently demonstrate safe behavior, quality workmanship, and teamwork to support overall success of the organization. Actively participate in and support safety initiatives and improvement efforts within the facility. Build strong working relationships with crew members and internal departments to support high-quality production. Drive and implement positive changes within the work environment. Demonstrate effective troubleshooting skills throughout the manufacturing process. Safely and competently operate mobile equipment, including forklifts, electric pallet jacks, scissor lifts, floor sweepers, andpower washers. Perform confined space entry procedures, both as an entrant and an attendant, when required. Maintain proper housekeeping and cleanliness in all work areas. Work overtime as needed, including 12-hour shifts. Adhere to all company and location-specific policies and safety regulations. Perform all other duties as assigned.Experience, Skills, And Abilities Preferred Strong sense of urgency and self-motivation with the ability to work independently. Professional and effective interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency in using the Alkegen Oracle management system. Familiarity with ABB system control applications. Ability to work with limited direction and apply independent thinking in daily tasks.Qualifica􀆟ons High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred. Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate production machinery and mobile equipment safely. Ability to read and follow written instructions, safety guidelines, and standard operating procedures. Basic math skills and ability to use measurement tools to ensure product specifications. Comfortable using computers and data entry systems; experience with Oracle or ABB systems is a plus. Must be able to work in confined spaces and perform tasks involving physical activity, including liftingup to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, bending, and climbing. Must be comfortable working in routinely monitored environments which may contain dust, fiber,ammonia, ozone, adhesives, and/or volatile organic compounds (VOCs) Must be comfortable safely handling hazardous chemicals and materials including but not limited toacids, bases, and/or various irritants. Must be able to work in an environment with latex. Must be medically fit if required to wear a disposable dust mask or half mask. Willingness and availability to work overtime, including 12-hour shifts and weekends, as needed. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also contributing to ateam-oriented environment. Must be available to work 12-hour shi􀅌, OT and weekends as needed. Basic computer skills
