Purchaser, Electrical Components

Position ScopeFPS is a global leader in turn-key food freezing and cooling equipment, serving clients across five continents. Due to our rapid expansion, we have an immediate opening for an experienced Purchaser. You will work with an established team of engineers and designers to serve our clients on current and upcoming projects.Job ResponsibilitiesWork closely with the Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering Department and issue PO to suppliers based on information from EngineersConfirm delivery schedule with suppliers and update project teams about delivery statusMonitor supplier delivery performance and alert project teams or production of late shipmentsReview inventory status for raw materials and maintain safety stock levelForecast electrical components usage and place bulk forecast ordersReview quotations for the subcontracting processSource for reliable suppliers for production tools and machinesContact suppliers for machine maintenance and repairs as requiredOccasionally go out to source and purchase urgent partsPerform other duties as requiredQualifications and SkillsMinimum 2 years of Purchasing experience within a manufacturing settingPossess electrical engineering knowledge and able to interpret technical drawingsWork independently and effectively to meet deadlinesKnowledge of ERP systems such as SAP is preferableStrong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in English.Chinese language skills are considered an asset.FPS Food Process Solutions Corporation is an equal opportunity employer, and we thank you for your interest in the position.
