Job DescriptionThe Purchasing Analyst will be a key member of the European Purchasing Team. She/He will work with an assigned buyer and will be responsible for: the corresponding administrative tasks within the Company's systems: purchase order management, publish request for quotations, quote follow-up and validation the analysis of the sourcing portfolio for the assigned family of products and the identification of opportunities to improve our sourcing strategyResponsibilitiesHe/She will work extensively with the Company tools and will also be asked to proactively support the negotiations. She/He will participate in building and keeping excellent relationships with our suppliers.The Purchasing Analyst will be a key support to the team in terms of transactional tasks, either directly with the supplier (request for quotations, price validation) or internally (update and management of internal tools).The successful candidate will have a combination of analytical spirit and efficient communication skills. She/He will integrate a strong and supportive team; we will expect the candidate to be a real team player.Main interactions will be with the rest of Analysts and Buyers in the team and with the suppliers. There will be frequent actions that will require interaction with other Purchasing teams, with the Finance department, with the Engineering team or with the Logistics and Planning department.RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:Develop / Analyse Market DataDrive the philosophy of continuous improvement into the supply baseNegotiate key cost elements and service conditions with suppliersIdentify cost optimisation opportunitiesCollaboration and coordination with local and remote team membersSupports supplier approval and business award processesIdentify gap to benchmark based on supplier cost breakdowns and Cost EstimatesDevelop and maintain Full-Service Suppliers capable of meeting quality, cost, timing and technology targetsImplement strategies to meet competitive sourcing objective.Participate in the sourcing of parts and obtain cross functional buy-in from the team based on written Commodity StrategiesSupport cross functional teams in supplier re-sourcing actionsREGULAR ACTIVITIES: Collect and analyze market data and cost breakdowns Perform benchmarking activities such as market tests to create / maintain a world-class supply base Update and fulfill internal applications, ensure data integrity Support sourcing and resourcing approval process Utilize / Construct / Maintain cost tables Perform supplier scouting activitiesAdministrative support to travel expense reportingTangier Office supplies related tasks (IT devices, computer, printer, and other office supplies)Tangier Office Permits documentation preparation and process (Freezone entrance badge preparation, ...)Qualifications Technical knowledge: automotive sector, production processes, cost analysis, validation processes Bachelor's degree or equivalent Proficiency in English: Fluent knowledge, both written and spoken High proficiency in the use of Excel and data analysis toolsPersonal Skills: Efficient, structured and clear communication in written, phone or face-to-face situations Strong support in a teamwork environmentProper planning and organization skills Fast learner Analytical skills
