Our client a leading organization in the Manufacturing industry is looking for a Procurement Coordinator to join their team. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Procurement Coordinator will oversee and execute purchasing tasks to ensure the efficient sourcing of materials, supplies, and services at competitive costs.This position involves managing purchase order processing, vendor relationships, supplier onboarding, and purchasing data within the ERP system. The coordinator will foster supplier partnerships, expedite orders, coordinate inventory programs managed by vendors, ensure timely deliveries, and keep accurate purchasing records and metrics.Key Responsibilities:Process and issue purchase orders following company guidelines.Set up and maintain purchasing master data in the ERP system.Handles expedite requests with suppliers.Follow up on overdue purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.Manage weekly open order reports with key suppliers.Track purchase order due dates in JDE.Coordinate vendor-managed inventory programs and manage relationships.Source indirect materials, including maintenance supplies, personal protective equipment (PPE), hardware, and packaging.Source services related to maintenance, repairs, and other manufacturing support.Administer the supplier onboarding process.Maintain and report on key purchasing metrics.Organize and manage the Purchasing team’s paper and electronic filing systems.Serve as a backup to the Supply Chain Coordinator.Perform additional administrative tasks as assigned.Qualifications:A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar capacity.Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in business or a related field.Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems is essential.Advanced skills in computer software, particularly MS Excel, Access, and project management tools.Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.Capability to identify and develop solutions to emerging challenges independently.A strong sense of accountability, with a focus on meeting goals and delivering high-quality results on time.APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional, Certified in Production and Inventory Management, SCMA Certified Supply Chain Professional, or other relevant certifications are beneficial.
