The subsidiary operates in an 132 K sq. ft. production facility with 200 employeesJob Description:Lead Plant purchasing activities (Capex, Services, MRO, …) including negotiation, supplier selection, and supplier developmentMonitoring/Executing capital procurement activities for critical spares and new equipment to ensure continuity of site manufacturing operationsMaintain strong relationships with suppliers, promoting open communication, addressing performance issues, and fostering continuous improvement.Identifying and implementing bundling opportunities and establishing the necessary network with the local purchasing managers of other Gx locationsNegotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with local managed suppliers to secure favorable pricing, delivery, and stocking agreements to meet production and inventory schedules.Ensure contracts comply with legal requirements and company policies - Monitor and manage contract renewals and terminationsImplement cost-saving initiatives and track procurement performance; execute an annual cost savings program to meet company KPIs.Maintain a strong ethical approach to procurement, promoting fairness, transparency, and integrity in all procurement activities.Perform day-to-day operational activities including: establishment of purchase orders and outline agreements, expediting of deliveries, resolution of invoice discrepancies/complaints and non-conformanceLeading and developing site Procurement personnel; execute employee development and coaching processesEducation and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, operations, industrial engineering or similar6-7+ years of proven procurement and supplier management experience, ideally in Direct and Indirect Material / MRO purchasingProven experience in operational purchasing, contract/quotation negotiation, and supplier relationship managementProficiency in using SAP MM, SAP Ariba and Microsoft office suiteAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisionsExcellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levelsStrong leadership skills and the ability to mentor and develop purchasing team membersIdeally but not required: Experience in Material requirements planning/Materials management, Inventory Control, Lot Sizing, etcInterpersonal Skills:Active Listening: Practice to gain insight and truly understand all project stakeholdersCritical Thinking: Make prompt, informed and value-based decisions for the projectOrganization: Focus on agenda, schedules, frameworks, and methodologies, as well as communicating tasks, updates, progress, and blockersProblem Solving: Assess issues from different vantage points and formulate the best solution in addressing specific challengesSelf-Motivation: Exude highest level of commitment and motivation to see it through from start to finishTeamwork and Team Building: Establish a collaborative culture where people with unique personalities and skills happily work together and accountable to shared goalStrong Business Communication: Use the right language, tone and storytelling techniques when communicating, describing, or explaining issues over email, chat, reports, presentations and other forms and channels of communication.
