Our global network and deep market knowledge ensure we stay at the forefront of industry advancements, providing customers with exceptional ingredient solutions and innovative offerings from our worldwide supply chain.Position SummaryThe Foreign Purchasing Specialist is responsible for the operational and tactical execution of the end-to-end global procurement function. The core objective is to secure an uninterrupted, compliant, and cost-effective supply of high-quality raw materials to meet business demands. This role manages the complete source-to-receipt lifecycle, including supplier operational management, executing import logistics, and ensuring strict adherence to customs laws. By executing daily operations efficiently, the Specialist directly contributes to achieving departmental objectives for cost, quality, and service. Documentation requirements related to Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) and National Food Safety Authority (NFSA) approvals, ensuring full regulatory compliance for imported materials.Key Responsibilities1. Procurement ExecutionExecute Purchases: Process purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders to international suppliers in line with the established procurement strategy Operational Negotiation: Conduct day-to-day negotiations with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times, and terms for individual purchase orders, supporting the Head's high-value contract negotiations.Supplier Sourcing: Identify and research new potential global suppliers for raw materials, gathering necessary documentation for evaluation by the SC Head.Supplier Relations: Serve as the primary operational point of contact for foreign suppliers, managing daily communications and resolving routine issues.2. Import Logistics & Customs ComplianceEnd-to-End Logistics: Coordinate the entire international shipment process, from working with suppliers and freight forwarders to tracking shipments and ensuring final deliveryDocumentation Management: Prepare, review, and manage all necessary import documentation (e.g., Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading, Certificates of Analysis, Form 4) with 100% accuracy.Regulatory Coordination: Coordinate all logistics and documentation requirements related to EDA and NFSA, including import permits, product registration documents, and release approvals.Customs Clearance: Liaise with customs brokers and regulatory bodies to ensure full compliance with all Egyptian customs and import laws , minimizing delays and "issues with imports".Problem Resolution: Act as the first responder to resolve any in-transit issues, customs holds, or delivery discrepancies, escalating to the SC Head as needed.3. Data Management & Internal CollaborationRecord Keeping: Maintain meticulous and accurate records of all purchases, contracts, supplier data, and shipment details in the company's ERP system.Performance Tracking: Track and report on key operational KPIs such as Supplier On-Time Delivery , Supplier Lead Time , and Supplier Defect Rate, providing this data to the SC Head.Internal Alignment: Work closely with the Planning team to ensure material availability and with Finance to process payments and resolve invoice discrepancies.Qualifications & SkillsEducation: Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Pharmacy, or a related field.Experience:A minimum of 3 years of experience in foreign purchasing, international procurement, or import logistics within the pharmaceutical or food industryExperience in managing import documentation and coordination with EDA and/or NFSA for product registration, import approvals, or material release.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Excellent command of written and spoken EnglishTo apply send your CV to : hr@klick-trading.com
