Your new company My client, located in the West, is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist. This role is key to ensuring timely material availability to support manufacturing schedules and drive supply chain efficiency across a diverse portfolio. As the Purchasing Specialist, you will report directly to the Director of Purchasing and play a key role in optimising procurement operations and managing supplier relationships. It is a hybrid working model. Your new roleCollaborate with production planners to align procurement with demand forecasts.Issue and manage purchase orders based on system-generated requisitions.Monitor deliveries against the SIOP plan to prevent material shortages.Participate in daily production meetings to address supply issues and propose solutions.Track inventory levels weekly to meet raw material targets and minimise excess.Evaluate supplier performance and drive improvements.Manage last-time-buy activities and reduce the risk of obsolete inventory.Take ownership of supplier negotiations-working to secure the best possible terms while balancing cost, quality, and delivery timelines to meet production needs.Lead process improvement initiatives and support special procurement projects.What you'll need to succeedBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field5-8 years of experience in a fast-paced, multinational manufacturing environment.Demonstrated success in regional and supplier management.Proficient in SAP and procurement systems.Skilled in cost management, and contract negotiation.Effective communicator and collaborator across cross-functional teams.What you need to do now If you're keen on pursuing this exciting opportunity, please send a copy of your CV (word document) to belinder.kaur@hays.com.sg (Registration ID No. R1545727)EA Licence No.: 07C3924
