General Manager (Ref: 497)Limassol & LarnacaThe Client Seawater desalination facilities based on reverse osmosis technology, located in the areas of Limassol and Larnaca. The Limassol Plant has a nominal production capacity of 14. 6 million m³ per annum, while the Larnaca Plant has a capacity of 21. 9 million m³ per annum. Responsibilities An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced senior management professional to assume the role of a General Manager. The successful candidate will oversee the operations and management of both Desalination Plants (Limassol and Larnaca), and will be expected to exercise flexibility to split time between both locations depending on needs.

This role entails comprehensive management of operations, ensuring water quality and quantity, and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders. Main responsibilities include: Manage the overall operations of both plants, including operations, maintenance, HR, purchasing, and budgeting. Ensure the supply of product water to the Water Development Department (quantity and quality). Cultivate and maintain the relations and contact with all relevant Cypriot authorities, inter alia Water Development Department, and the Department of Environment. Prepare the operations and maintenance work plans for both plants. Develop budgets for Board approval. Compile and present monthly reports to the Board.

Report ongoing irregular events to the Board regarding malfunctions, environmental issues, power supply, HR, equipment, production, product quality, among moreManage relations with external parties, such as suppliers.

Assume the role of Health & Safety Officer, and oversee this area for both plants, as well as implement and/or update the ISO system in placeProfile of the ideal candidate University degree in Engineering or any other University degree provided the candidate has more than 5 years of proven experience in a managerial position within the Seawater Desalination IndustryMember of the Cyprus Scientific and Technical Chamber (ETEK) will be considered an advantageAt least 5 years of Senior Management experience, preferably in roles like Technical Director, Plant Director, CEO, COO, or Chief Maintenance OfficerGood understanding of basic finance and HR principlesStrong interpersonal and communication skillsVery good people management skillsHigh credibility and dependabilityHighly motivated and drivenFocused and task orientedHigh level of commitment, with a strong dedication to drive productivity and resultsTech savvy – Microsoft Office toolsFluent in both English and GreekBenefits An attractive remuneration package will be discussed with the successful candidate, according to qualifications and experience.
