 It is involved in M&A lead advisory work, corporate valuations, providing strategic financial and commercial advice and financial modelling to a wide range of private and public entities in New Zealand.  Our team has been ranked #1 in New Zealand by number of transactions completed for every year since 2005, and is the largest Corporate Finance team in the country, with a proven track record across a diverse range of sectors. And more recently, we have been awarded the 2025 INFINZ M&A Deal of the Year.

 We are seeking a highly motivated Analyst to join our Christchurch Corporate Finance team where you will have an opportunity to work with market leading transactions and clients.  As a member of our Corporate Finance team, you will:

Be a core part of our corporate finance team in providing modelling support on transactions, valuations, strategic and financial advisory solutions to clients Take a lead role on financial and valuation modelling aspects of engagementsManage and support client relationships Play a strategic role in helping our team achieve its growth objectivesDevelop knowledge through appropriate research, keeping current with firm’s technical and industry guidance, training and interactions with internal PwC specialistsNgā pūkenga kei a koe / Skills and experience:

At least 1 years’ experience working in a corporate finance, commercial or financial markets position with financial modelling experiencePrior experience working with clients and producing high quality financial model outputs and/or reportsA degree in Finance/Accounting/EconomicsCA or CFA designation and/or study toward this qualification is also desirable but not essentialAdvanced user of MS Excel plus capable with MS Power Point, MS Office and the Google SuiteExperience in Tableau, Alteryx, Power BI and/or other ETL tools is desirable but not essentialFinancial statement analysis experienceStrong attention to detail and organisational skillsA self-motivated, proactive and confident approach to your workExceptional verbal and written communication skillsA team player with the ambition and motivation to grow with the firm Ngā āhuatanga hirahira o te mahi ki PwC / Highlights of working at PwC NZ Unrivalled level of access to industry expertise, both locally and through our wider global network of member firms, where you’ll be enabled by cutting-edge technology.
