Senior Python Developer | Revolutionary AI | $150,000 - £170,000We are working closely with one of the most revolutionary companies in New Zealand, they are transforming the way we look at workplace safety, with some very high tech AI.They are going from strength to strength and are looking to add a few Senior Developers to their team.They are happy to consider varying levels, as long as you can mess around with the architectural side of things too!Requirements:6+ years of experience building reliable, production-grade systems in Python.Hands-on with datastores and messaging systems: Postgres/SQL, Redis, and brokers like NATS, RabbitMQ, or Kafka.Solid grasp of networking and media protocols, including HTTP, WebSockets, and streaming fundamentals (RTSP/RTMP).Linux-native development environment: comfortable with shell scripting, systemd, observability tooling, and performance profiling.Deep Docker expertise: optimized multi-stage builds, minimal base images, resource constraints, and Docker Compose orchestration.CI/CD automation experience using tools like GitHub Actions and Azure Pipelines.Responsibilities:Design and develop robust APIs (e.g., FastAPI), backend services, and data models with a strong focus on reliability, testability, and performance.Integrate and interface with large language models (LLMs) and related APIs.Own the full lifecycle of edge-deployed Python software: manage real-time data streams, inference workflows, scheduling, telemetry, and seamless updates on resource-constrained devices.Containerize applications using Docker; implement automated CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, semantic versioning, and reliable deployment strategies, including rollbacks.Collaborate with CV/ML teams to productionize machine learning models—building interfaces, managing packaging, and enabling safe deployment via feature flags.Elevate engineering standards through thoughtful code reviews, mentoring, comprehensive technical documentation, and pragmatic architectural decisions.Salary$150,000 -$170,000 LocationAuckland - HybridHow to ApplyPlease apply asap with your CV to be considered for this position.
