QA Automation Engineer

Job Title: Senior QA Automation Engineer (Salesforce/AccelQ)Location: West Des Moines, IA (Local / Hybrid 1 DAY A WEEK)Industry: Financial ServicesType: Full-TimeONLY CITIZEN or Green CardAbout the RoleOur client in the financial services industry is seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Automation Engineer to support the quality, stability, and performance of their customer-facing web portals and mobile applications. This role will play a key part in ensuring applications meet the highest standards for accuracy, security, and compliance.The ideal candidate will have a strong automation background (approximately 80% automation / 20% manual testing), hands-on experience with AccelQ, Sauce Labs, and JMeter, and a proven ability to work effectively in fast-paced, regulated environments alongside cross-functional teams.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and execute automated test scripts for web and mobile applications (80% focus)Perform manual testing as needed, including functional, regression, integration, and UAT support (20% focus)Create, maintain, and enhance test frameworks and reusable test scenariosLeverage AccelQ for test automation management, execution, and reportingUtilize Sauce Labs for cross-browser and cross-device test executionApply JMeter for performance and load testing when neededPartner closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to clarify requirements and validate functionalityTest Salesforce-based environments, integrations, and workflowsIdentify, document, and track defects through resolution, driving root-cause analysisSupport CI/CD pipelines and automated test integrationParticipate in stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectivesEnsure testing practices meet internal standards and financial industry regulatory and security requirementsRequired Qualifications5+ years of QA experience with a strong emphasis on test automationHands-on experience with AccelQ, Sauce Labs, and JMeterProven experience testing Salesforce applications and integrationsStrong background testing both web portals and mobile applications (iOS/Android)Experience with modern automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.)Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum and SDLC best practicesStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skillsExperience in a regulated environment (financial services, insurance, healthcare, etc.)Preferred QualificationsExperience with API testing (Postman, REST Assured, etc.)Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps)Exposure to performance, load, and security testingISTQB or similar QA certification
