QA Automation Engineer

Job Title : QA Automation EngineerLocation : New York, NYJob Type : Full TimeOur client is looking for a skilled Test Automation Engineer to help shape and scale our automated testing capabilities. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to support high-quality software releases and strengthen the overall testing culture.What You’ll Do:Work with cross-functional teams to define test strategy and quality goals.Build and maintain automated test frameworks and tools.Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth releases.Expand test coverage and establish testing best practices.Participate in agile ceremonies to provide input on requirements, timelines, and risks.What We’re Looking For:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar field.5+ years of experience in test automation or software engineering.Experience with functional, regression, and end-to-end testing.Familiarity with frameworks such as Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, Selenium, Jest, or Cucumber.Proficiency with scripting (Python preferred).Ability to create test plans from business requirements and automate at multiple layers (UI, API, device, etc.).Strong collaboration and communication skills across teams and time zones.Nice to Have:Experience in regulated or quality-managed environments (e.g. IoT, medical, hardware).Exposure to machine learning or data-driven product development.Background in startup or high-growth environments.Passion for building a strong quality-first culture.
