QA Engineer (MCP Protocol Specialist)

Currently, for the new Seargin project we are looking for senior automation QA (MCP Protocol Specialist), who can define the practice, not just follow existing procedures. Purpose: To establish automated testing for MCP (Model Context Protocol) integrations.Goal: Build a robust, automated testing framework for new MCP-based services that connect AI systems with company data. Contract type: B2BLocation: KL (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)Seniority: seniorContract:B2B/permResponsibilities:Design and implement automated tests for MCP integrations.Define best practices for testing AI–system interactions.Work across both cloud environments — AWS and Azure.Collaborate closely with developers and other teams to ensure quality and compatibility.Help shape testing standards for a technology that’s still emerging.Context: Team is involved in development of a large-scale internal mobile application for 13,000 account managers.The app integrates:Flutter frontendAWS backendAzure AI components (Fabric)Salesforce CRM dataInitially, the project was experimental, meant to test how AI tools could help sales teams.After successful trials, it’s now moving to production and scaling globally, which creates new challenges around testing, release management, and integration quality.The Need for a QA Engineer: As the project scales, team is planning to integrate a new communication protocol — MCP (Model Context Protocol), recently introduced by Anthropic. This protocol allows AI agents to perform transactional actions (e.g., check an order, view client data) safely and intelligently, replacing or extending standard REST APIs. Because MCP is:New (≈1 year old)Not widely adopted yetTechnically complex (AI + API + cloud)…the team needs a highly skilled QA Engineer who can define, implement, and automate testing practices for this new technology.About MCP:A new protocol by Anthropic (≈1 year old) that defines how AI agents communicate with systems (e.g., checking orders, performing transactions).Davide’s team plans to extend their REST APIs to also support MCP for AI-driven automation.Requirements:Must have hands-on experience in automation testing (not manual testing).Strong knowledge of MCP protocol (mandatory) - experience from november 2024.Experience with AWS and/or Azure (both ideal).Excellent communication skills — must coordinate across teams and time zones.Senior - more than 6 years of experience.
