Internship Type: Part Time, UnpaidStart: November 2025Duration: 3–6 monthsLocation: Stockholm — flexible about hybrid workAbout the opportunityWe’re looking for a QA & Data Intern to help us test, validate, and strengthen the systems that power Planboo’s biochar carbon removal projects across the tropics. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our MRVin Mobile App and Credit Generation platform deliver high-integrity, reliable data — the foundation for verified carbon removal credits.This is a unique chance to be at the intersection of technology, data, and climate action — blending quality assurance with hands-on participation in the credit approval process itself.You’ll collaborate with Planboo’s Tech, Supply, and Integrity teams to test new mobile releases, review field data submissions from projects, and help ensure every credit generated meets Planboo’s data integrity standards.The role offers:Hands-on experience with real data from climate projects across Africa, Asia, and Latin AmericaDirect exposure to how carbon credits are generated, verified, and approvedThe opportunity to test, improve, and shape Planboo’s core digital toolsMentorship from experienced team leads in tech and data integrityA flexible, collaborative work culture where curiosity and initiative are valuedPotential for long-term employment for the right candidateResponsibilitiesMobile App QA & Testing: Test new MRVin app releases, identify bugs, and validate performance across Android devices and environments.Data Review & Credit Approval: Participate in Planboo’s credit generation process — reviewing and approving field data (e.g., burn logs, biomass, GPS, and photos) to ensure accuracy and completeness.Quality Assurance: Verify that system outputs match inputs and help improve testing documentation, workflows, and feedback loops.Data Integrity Reporting: Track recurring data or platform issues, prepare simple QA reports, and support communication between the Tech and Integrity teams.Process Optimization: Suggest ways to automate or simplify repetitive review and validation steps, helping Planboo move toward real-time credit generation.Cross-Team Collaboration — Work closely with Tech, Supply, and Integrity teams to ensure end-to-end traceability and accuracy from mobile data entry to credit issuance.RequirementsCurrently studying or recently graduated in Environmental Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related fieldStrong attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies in data, processes or structured datasetsComfortable using spreadsheets and basic digital systems (Google Sheets, Notion, or similar)Strong written and verbal English communication skillsSelf-driven, organised, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced startup environmentPassionate about climate tech, sustainability, and digital innovationTools & Systems You’ll UseMobile App (Android)Sentry / Firebase for bug trackingGoogle Sheets / Docs (Drive)Directus and internal QA dashboardsIndustry standards/methodology documentsSlack and Notion for communication and documentationBonus PointsExperience testing mobile applications, web platforms or QA tools (e.g. Sentry, TestFlightFamiliarity with carbon accounting or sustainability dataUnderstanding of QA or data validation processesInterest in how data translates into carbon removal creditsBasic Python or data analytics skillsWho we are and why work with us?We are a diverse team of surfers, scientists, farmers, rebels and humans tackling a global problem.
