Your new companyOur client, a successful local company specialising in Building construction, is recruiting a detail-oriented Quality Assurance / Quality Control Officer to join their team in Darwin and support the delivery of multiple projects.Your new roleYou will be responsible for overseeing the quality of works delivered, ensuring they align with approved drawings and specifications, and that quality documentation is accurately maintained and reported. This is a permanent full-time role based in Darwin, with a standard working week from Monday to Friday. Your key responsibilities will be:Review and interpret construction drawings and technical documents.Conduct inspections of works delivered to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, quality standards and building codes.Identify and report non-conformances and assist in implementing corrective actions.Manage and maintain QA/QC documentation including inspection reports, checklists, and quality records.Liaise with Site Supervisors, Trades, and Project Managers to ensure quality standards are upheld.What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this role you will have:Trade background in construction (e.g., Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical, Boiler making, etc.).Previous experience in a QA/QC role within the construction industry.Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications.Familiarity with quality management systems and documentation practices.Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.What you'll get in returnYou will join a highly skilled and collaborative team in a successful Darwin-based construction company and participate in the delivery of multiple Building construction projects.
