Job DescriptionJob DetailsJob Title: QA SupervisorReports to: Quality Health and SafetySector: Supply ChainBusiness Unit: Canned & SnacksJob PurposeTo ensure effective implementation of Quality and Food Safety Management Systems in line with BRCGS and Americana standards, maintaining compliance across all production areas. Responsible for supervising QA activities, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring product quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. Key AccountabilitiesStrategicSupport the implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) and Food Safety Management System (FSMS) aligned with BRC and Americana standards.Ensure continuous improvement through data-driven root cause analysis and CAPA implementationContribute to audits, management reviews, and regulatory inspections. OperationalSupervise and verify QA laboratory tests for raw materials, packaging materials, in-process, and finished products to ensure compliance with specificationsEnsure sampling and testing are conducted per Americana Inspection and Test PlansConduct and review calibration of measuring and test equipment per the approved calibration plan.Verify production line startup checks, metal detector verification, weight control, and product sensory evaluationConduct and document internal audits (QMS, FSMS, HACCP) and ensure timely closure of non-conformances.Verify implementation of cleaning and sanitation programs and review cleaning verification records (ATP/Micro results).Approve product holds, quarantines, or rejections in coordination with the QHSE LeadSupport trial productions and product stability studies for new raw materials or formulations. PeopleSupervise and train QC Technicians and Line Inspectors on quality and food safety proceduresEnsure adherence to hygiene, safety, and GMP practices by all QA personnel.Support QHSE Lead in conducting internal training as per the annual plan Qualifications, Experience & SkillsAcademic and professional qualifications:Bachelor’s / master’s degree in food technology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field. Experience10+ years of experience preferably in consumer products / packaged goods sector Technical SkillsKnowledge of BRC, ISO 22000, and HACCP requirements.Familiar with laboratory testing (chemical, physical, microbiological).Competent in calibration systems, data interpretation, and reporting.Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
