SECTION I: BASIC INFORMATION Job Function QA / QC Role Team Member - QA/ QC Job Family Quality Assurance and Quality Control Band Tier 3 - Tier 1 SECTION II: ROLE SUMMARY (Purpose of the Role) The Team Member – QA/QC supports site engineers and QA/QC leads in conducting inspections, documenting quality observations, and ensuring compliance with approved standards and procedures. This role contributes to the effective implementation of quality practices across construction activities, materials handling, and workmanship at the site. SECTION III: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ ACCOUNTABILITIES Assist in routine inspections of construction activities , including reinforcement placement, concrete pouring, shuttering, plastering, blockwork, and finishing, ensuring conformance to approved drawings and specifications. Support the inspection of incoming construction materials , such as cement, steel, aggregates, bricks, plumbing and electrical items, verifying against test certificates and checklists. Help maintain QA/QC documentation , including inspection checklists, pour cards, material registers, calibration logs, and NCR logs, under the supervision of the QA/QC Engineer. Participate in field testing and sampling of concrete cubes, slump tests, and other material verification activities as directed by the site lab or quality team. Monitor curing and protection of finished work like concrete slabs, columns, and plastered walls, and report deviations or damages to the quality team. SECTION IV: KEY INTERACTIONS Internal Stakeholder Purpose of Interaction QA/QC Engineer and Site Quality Team Site Execution Team External Stakeholder Purpose of Interaction Clients / Consultants (during inspections) Testing Laboratories (as required) SECTION V: KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE Minimum Qualifications Diploma in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering (ITI with quality exposure or CSTI certification can be considered for junior roles) Language Skills Basic communication skills in Hindi and local language Understanding of English for documentation and checklist use Experience Years of Experience 2 to 5 years Nature of Experience Field experience in supporting day-to-day quality checks, material inspections, and maintaining QA/QC documentation at construction or infrastructure project sites.
