HSE Advisor - Austria, Vienna - 12 Month Contract Are you a HSE Advisor looking for your next contract role? With growth plans to almost double their already huge turnover, there could not be a better time to join!ResponsibilitiesProvide expert HSE guidance and support across all phases of the data centre construction project. Ensure compliance with local and international HSE legislation, standards, and best practices. Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific HSE plans, procedures, and emergency response protocols. Deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions to site personnel and subcontractors.
Monitor and report on HSE performance metrics, incidents, and near misses; support investigations and root cause analysis. Promote a strong safety culture through engagement, leadership, and visible presence on site. Liaise with client representatives, contractors, and regulatory bodies on HSE matters. Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, training, and compliance documentation. Support environmental management initiatives, including waste management, pollution prevention, and sustainability practices. Requirements: A degree or diploma in occupational health and safety, environmental science, engineering, or a related field is often expected. Hands-on experience in construction, energy, or industrial environments—especially where complex risk profiles are involved.
Strong understanding of UK HSE legislation, CDM regulations, and industry-specific standards. Familiarity with incident reporting systems, risk assessment tools, and HSE management software is a plus. A strong communicator with great attention to detail and problem solving skills.
