You will not be a passive advisor; you will be a hands-on coach, mentor, and strategist. Your mission is to empower our QA and engineering teams, teaching them "how to fish" by effectively leveraging Gen AI to enhance software quality, accelerate testing, and build smarter. If you are passionate about the intersection of AI and Quality Assurance, this is your opportunity to shape the future of testing at a large scale.Key Responsibilities:Coach & Enable Teams: Act as a hands-on coach for QA and development teams, providing expert guidance on applying Gen AI tools for test case design, test data generation, and test execution analysis in real-world project scenarios (Web, Data/ETL, Mobile).Develop Best Practices & Playbooks: Co-create and refine our AI in QA playbooks and training materials. Translate complex AI concepts into practical, actionable guidance that aligns with our organizational standards and processes.Drive Quality Strategy: Advise teams on both how to use AI to optimize QA activities (e.g., test automation, requirements analysis) and how to effectively test AI-powered applications.Monitor & Improve Adoption: Analyze AI adoption dashboards (DX) to identify trends, measure the impact on QA productivity and efficiency, and provide targeted coaching to teams to overcome challenges.Deliver Targeted Training: Contribute to and deliver training sessions, workshops, and office hours, ensuring the content is relevant and aligns with industry best practices, such as the ISTQB AI Testing Certification syllabus.Champion Quality Innovation: Stay current with the latest trends in AI-enabled QA and share insights and best practices across the organization to foster a culture of continuous improvement. Required Qualifications:4-7 years of experience in a Quality Assurance, Test Engineering, or SDET role.Demonstrated experience applying AI/ML concepts or tools within a software testing or QA context.Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and various testing methodologies (e.g., functional, regression, performance).Proven ability to coach, mentor, and train technical teams, with excellent communication and presentation skills.Experience working on a variety of application types, including web, mobile, and data/ETL projects.A strategic mindset with the ability to measure success through metrics like improved QA productivity, defect detection rates, and team confidence.Preferred Qualifications:ISTQB AI Testing Certification or deep familiarity with its syllabus.Hands-on experience with both code-based automation (e.g., Python, Selenium) and no-code/low-code test automation platforms.Experience in creating and delivering formal training programs or technical documentation.Familiarity with Agile and DevOps principles and practices.PayThe wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $80,000 to $100,000. In addition, for the current performance period, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.BenefitsAs a full-time employee of the company or as an hourly employee working more than 30 hours per week, you will be eligible to participate in the health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans in accordance with the plan documents, which may be amended from time to time. You will be eligible for benefits on the first day of employment with the Company. In addition, you are eligible to participate in the Company 401(k) Plan after 30 days of employment, in accordance with the applicable plan terms. The Company provides for 11 paid holidays and 12 weeks of Parental Leave. We also follow a "free time" PTO policy, allowing you the flexibility to take time needed for either sick time or vacation.
