Quality Assurance Manager (Fresh Produce)

The Quality Assurance Manager (Fresh Produce) is an expert operational and technical role responsible for driving and maintaining excellence in product quality and customer satisfaction for highly perishable product lines.Key Accountabilities:Establish, implement, and govern strict quality and safety standards across fresh produce offerings.Define and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the handling, storage, inventory rotation, and visual presentation of goods at the store level.Collaborate with procurement teams to vet suppliers and ensure adherence to technical specifications. Proactively monitor and optimise the temperature-controlled supply chain to secure maximum product shelf-life.Track and analyse critical performance indicators, including shrinkage rates, customer feedback metrics, and internal audit scores, to identify issues and recommend corrective/preventive actions.Lead projects focused on process optimisation, operational best practices, and innovative packaging solutions to enhance product freshness and extend market viability.Provide technical guidance, training, and subject matter expertise to store teams to promote quality compliance and operational efficiency.Job RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Food Technology, or related field.5+ years of experience in a fresh food quality or food safety roleExcellent communication skills and the ability to train and influence cross-functional teams.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; data-driven mindset.Proficiency in MS Excel, food quality systems and inventory platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
