Quality Assurance Technician/Technologist

Job Description

Bourgault Industries is looking for a Quality Assurance Technician or Technologist to lead quality initiatives, inspect products, and to work responsibly and independently in support of the overall effort to measure quality performance, resolve non-conformances, implement corrective & preventative actions and achieve continuous improvement in the company’s operations.ResponsibilitiesAudit and report on finished unit quality and In-process quality auditsWork with suppliers to investigate and resolve quality issues as well as new parts and vendor approval process Perform inspections using MetraScan, Faro arm and other inspection toolsMeasure and report on corporate quality performanceReview and analyze quality-related reports and data Lead and assist with the resolution of internal quality problemsSupport quality-related functions in productionAcademic/Education RequirementsMechanical Engineering Technology Diploma or similar background is an asset but not requiredManufacturing and/or supplier quality assurance experience would be an asset but is not required Required Skills/ExperienceKnowledge of manufacturing processes and lean principles and toolsStrong computer skills (including familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word)Able to think critically and creatively to solve problems Possesses a high degree of self-awareness and analytical skillsAbility to see the “big picture” and act purposefullyStrong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)Hands-on mechanical aptitudeAble to see the need for and utilize all relevant and available resources from various Bourgault teamsPossess a genuine interest in achieving corporate quality standardsWhat Bourgault Has To Offer Competitive, performance-based pay.
