Quality Assurance Technologist - West Cork We are looking for an experienced QA Technician to join our client, a well established Irish brand based in West Cork to play a key role in ensuring quality, safety, and excellence within their production facility is maintained. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, innovative food manufacturing environment.Working Hours - 40-45 hours per week (between 7am-5pm)Salary - €40k DOEPension after 12 months Key ResponsibilitiesLead and develop the Quality Assurance function, ensuring the team is well organised, trained, and equipped to meet site and departmental objectives.Promote and uphold a strong food safety culture across the business.Maintain and enhance systems supporting food safety and quality standards.Ensure full compliance with Irish and EU food safety regulations.Conduct internal audits and support corrective actions where required.Collaborate with Production, Sales, and Innovation teams to manage supplier quality and compliance.Stay up to date with industry and regulatory developments, sharing insights with the wider team.Lead the technical function during customer audits and technical visits.Drive continuous improvement and team motivation through innovation and best practice.Requirements:Qualification in a scientific or food-related discipline (preferred).Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role within the FMCG or food manufacturing sector.Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate a team.Strong understanding of food processing, HACCP, and regulatory standards.Working knowledge of IFS, Organic certification, and Irish/EU food safety systems.Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.Submit your CV to Lisa O'Connor for review.
