Job Description:We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented مُختبِر ضمان الجودة (QA Tester) with 2-3 years of comprehensive experience in mobile (Android/iOS) and web application testing, as well as API testing. The ideal candidate will excel in designing, developing, and executing meticulous test cases, scenarios, and acceptance criteria, ensuring the highest quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC). This role requires solid manual testing expertise coupled with strong debugging capabilities, leveraging application logs and databases to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. The candidate will operate within Agile environments, contributing to regression, smoke, exploratory, and user acceptance testing, while fostering close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and product owners. Additionally, a demonstrable commitment to applying a shift-left strategy to prevent defects early in the development phases and active participation in test strategy and release assessments are essential. Experience in automation testing is an advantageous asset that complements the core expectations of the role.Job Requirements:2-3 years of proven experience in testing mobile applications (Android/iOS) and web applications.Proficiency in designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test cases, test scenarios, and acceptance criteria that address functionality, usability, and performance.Solid manual testing expertise with a demonstrated track record of successful testing across various project types and complexities.In-depth experience in performing manual testing activities, including regression, smoke, exploratory, and user acceptance testing.Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills, with hands-on experience using application logs, browser development tools, and databases for defect resolution.Competence in writing and executing SQL queries for thorough data validation and analysis.Familiarity with API testing using Postman or similar tools, adept at creating and executing API test cases.Strong aptitude for collaborating with developers, business analysts, and product owners to ensure quality assurance is integrated throughout the SDLC.Experience in defect reporting, tracking, and management utilizing Jira or equivalent defect tracking tools.Participation in test strategy formulation, planning processes, and release readiness assessments to ensure alignment with project goals.Application of a shift-left testing approach to proactively prevent defects during initial development phases.Hands-on experience in Agile, Scrum, or Kanban methodologies, with a strong emphasis on adaptability and iterative development.Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities, with a keen attention to detail and a user-centric perspective.Job Responsibilities:Design and develop accurate test cases, scenarios, and acceptance criteria based on requirements to ensure comprehensive test coverage.Execute manual testing across mobile (Android/iOS) and web applications, identifying and documenting defects effectively to improve software quality.Conduct various testing types including regression, smoke, exploratory, and user acceptance testing to validate product readiness for release.Utilize debugging skills to analyze application logs and utilize browser developer tools for troubleshooting and identifying root causes of defects.Write and execute SQL queries to perform data validation, ensuring the integrity and consistency of data within applications.Collaborate with cross-functional teams—developers, business analysts, and product owners—to facilitate discussions around quality, requirements, and testing outcomes.Report and manage identified defects through Jira or similar tools, ensuring proper tracking and prioritization of issues.Actively participate in defining test strategy, planning activities, and release readiness assessments to enhance testing efforts.Apply a shift-left testing methodology, engaging early in the development process to identify potential issues and prevent defects.Engage in continuous learning in automation frameworks and tools to enhance testing capabilities, and support integration with CI/CD processes where applicable.Ensure adherence to best practices in testing methodologies, fostering a culture of quality and reliability within development teams.Required Skills:Expertise in manual and exploratory testing techniques for mobile and web applications.Proficient in test case design, test execution, and defect management practices.Strong aptitude for debugging and problem-solving in complex environments.Skilled in SQL query writing for data integrity validation.Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman.Proficient in using Jira or equivalent tools for defect tracking and reporting.Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working within Agile teams.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, capable of articulating complex issues clearly.Strong analytical skills to assess application performance and quality metrics.Attention to detail with the ability to think critically from an end-user perspective.Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve quality objectives.Adaptability to evolving technologies and methodologies in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge of automation testing frameworks and integration with CI/CD pipelines is a plus.Familiarity with version control systems like Git and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift) is advantageous.Understanding of performance testing practices and basic security testing is desirable.
