Perform a variety of routine tasks associated with the Seed Company research programThe tasks will include any or all of those described for the Field and Processing WorkerIn addition, the Technician's Assistant will perform additional tasks as required by the supervising Field TechnicianThese tasks may include, under close supervision of the Field Supervisor:
assisting with the repair and maintenance of field equipment, limited operation of field equipment, organization of samples during harvest and/or processing, and limited driving of a company vehicleThe type of task will be dependent on the stage of the annual research program and will be seasonal in natureTasks may be performed in an indoor and/or outdoor settingResponsible for performing a wide range of tasks or a specific task depending on the stage of the seasonal research programTasks may include:
Field research operations related to planting, thinning, weeding, pollinations and sample harvestSample processing operations including preparation of supplies, sorting, ginning, weighing, preparation for shipping and seed packagingGeneral facility operations including general clean-up, organization of samples and supplies, and other routine tasks as they arisePerform additional tasks as requested by the supervising Field TechnicianOperation of mobile field equipment, such as a tractor or cotton picker, and stationary field equipment, such as a module builderQualifications: Bachelor's degree in Natural Sciences or related fieldNo experience required.
Computer skills and MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, Power BI)Availability to work all shifts, weekends and Holidays
