Quality Control Inspector

Responsibilities:Study project specifications and technical drawings to gain an understanding and appreciation of work to be undertakenInspect work being carried out on projects, within allocated area of responsibility, to ensure compliance with the Quality inspection planResolve minor issues at the work site and prepare a non-conformance report in the case of more serious breaches setting out the circumstancesEnsure the timely issuance of inspection and testing quality records and check their adequacy to demonstrate the conformity of construction worksMonitor work progress and requests Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) of welds at predetermined locationsFollow-up on results and ensures required action is implementedGenerate inspection reports to record activities undertaken daily and sign-off completed work segments at respective hold points and passes reports to Documentation for filing and safekeepingLiaise with client QC representative on inspection activities and provide clarificationsCompliance in accordance with HSE StandardQualifications/Experience:Minimum 05 years of experience in a similar role and industryDiploma in Civil Engineering or equivalentPreferably with experience in heavy civil and infrastructure projects
