We hold ourselves and all stakeholders to a high standard of diversity equity and inclusion, because anything else is unacceptable.Overall ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Supervisor, Quality Control the Quality Control Technologist will assist the Senior Technologists in ensuring all Jamieson products have met all chemical, physical and bacteriological criteria prior to use, sale or supply by following all procedures and guidelines as prescribed by the Quality Control Department. This is a part time permanent role, minimum required of 24 hours a week. Specific Key Responsibilities & DutiesFollow instructions and procedure as outlined by the Senior Technologists.Perform daily processing of all samples, which includes physical testing, assays and chemical analysis as per the standard testing proceduresOperate general instrumentation and any other equipment related to the QC LaboratoryMaintain overall sanitation of the QC Laboratories and their contentsCarry out calibrations on laboratory equipment as neededPerform other related duties and projects as assignedWorking in compliance with the company’s Health & Safety Policies/SOPs including but not limited to the Safety Responsibilities ProcedureWill comply with Good Manufacturing Practices in all GMP sensitive areas of Jamieson Laboratories Ltd. facilitiesOther duties and project as assignedKnowledge, Skills & Abilities RequirementsDegree or diploma in Chemistry, Biology or a related science from an accredited College and/or UniversityOne (1) year experience in similar roleConversant in USP/NF and FCC testing protocolsConversant in GMP/GLP requirementsStrong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) an assetAbility to input and extract information in a computerized environmentGood interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate clearlyStrong communication skillsWork independently and with minimal supervisionAble to work shift work, and to work overtime to complete projects in a timely fashion as may be requiredOur ValuesACCOUNTABILITY: We do what we say.
