We are dedicated to advancing high-fidelity training technology, precision manufacturing standards, and quality disciplines that support the continued global expansion of the GBLS Surrogate Training Platform.As demand grows for new models, accessories, and high-cycle-rate simulation systems, we are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer on a short-term 1–3 month contract to assist with remote quality assurance while supporting on-site observance and assessments at the GBLS factory in Busan, South Korea.This position is hybrid: remote work with occasional travel to Busan for audits, inspections, and project deliverables.Contract DetailsContract Length: 1–3 monthsStart Date: Immediate or as agreedLocation: Remote (USA-based) + travel to Busan, South KoreaTravel Frequency: 1–2 site visits depending on contract lengthHours: Flexible; must accommodate Korea Standard Time during travel and collaborative sessionsRole SummaryThe Contract Quality Engineer will support component-level and assembly-level QA processes for GBLS training rifles and accessories. This includes remote documentation reviews, supplier assessment, virtual audits, and on-site factory quality enforcement during Busan visits. You will work alongside U.S. and Korean engineering teams to ensure manufacturing consistency for high-cycle-rate platforms, Smart Mag systems, electric recoil units, and precision mechanical assemblies.This is a high-impact assignment ideal for a seasoned quality professional comfortable operating independently and moving fast.Key ResponsibilitiesRemote Quality Engineering ResponsibilitiesReview technical drawings, spec sheets, PPAP documentation, and change-control requests.Perform data-driven analysis of failure trends, life-cycle test outputs, and warranty-related returns.Execute remote audits and supplier quality reviews with Korean engineering/manufacturing teams.Develop and refine quality processes, inspection standards, and acceptance criteria for high-cycle training rifles.Create and maintain quality reporting dashboards and corrective action logs.On-Site (Busan, South Korea) ResponsibilitiesConduct factory-floor inspections, incoming QC reviews, assembly-line audits, and end-of-line testing verification.Validate mechanical tolerances, recoil unit consistency, feed-system reliability, and Smart Mag functional performance.Lead root-cause investigations for defects and implement corrective/preventive action plans (CAPA).Validate testing jigs, fixtures, torque specifications, gauge calibration, and live-cycle stress test equipment.Align U.S. quality expectations with Korean manufacturing processes through on-site collaboration.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical) or equivalent experience.5+ years of Quality Engineering experience in mechanical, electromechanical, or manufacturing environments.Strong command of QC tools: FMEA, APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, CAPA, 8D, and Six Sigma principles.Experience with tight-tolerance machined components, metal injection molding, CNC parts, and assembly QA.Demonstrated success working with international manufacturing teams, especially in Asia.Ability to travel internationally (passport required) and operate cross-culturally with Korea-based teams.Strong communication, technical reporting, and documentation skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience with small arms, airsoft systems, simulation weapons, precision mechanical assemblies, or consumer electromechanical products.Familiarity with ISO 9001 / ISO 27001 environments.Korean language ability (not required).Experience in short-term, outcome-driven contract roles.Compensation & Contract FeeBased on international contract market rates for Quality Engineers and adjusted for short-term high-impact work:Contract Fee Range:USD 8,000 – USD 12,000 per month (1–3 months based on deliverables)Travel, lodging, per diem, and transportation are fully reimbursed.Higher compensation negotiable for candidates with deep manufacturing/QE experience in Korea or prior firearms/simulation system QA background.Why Join GBLS USA for This Project?Work with the most advanced electric-recoil training rifle system in the world.Influence the next generation of military and law-enforcement simulation tools.Direct collaboration with the Busan GBLS headquarters and U.S. leadership.Short-term, high-value contract with the ability to make immediate measurable impact.Hybrid flexibility with unique international travel opportunities.How to ApplySubmit the following to careers@gblsusa.com (or your preferred email):Resume / CVBrief summary of related QA experienceAvailable start datePreferred contract length (1–3 months)Expected monthly contract feeAny prior experience in Korea or international manufacturingSubject line: “Quality Engineer – Contract (GBLS USA)”
