Quality Engineer

Role: Support Quality Systems Development for Europe and the Deployment of Global Quality initiatives and SOPs.Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Development and SupportProvide BU teams with support for Quality performance improvement, and troubleshootingProvide a proactive review of quality planning and specifications for new process’s/machine/product in order that potential problems are eliminated or minimizedProvide BU teams with support for Q-Auto and SAP QMInternal & External AuditingComplete corporate audits for all European sitesProvide direct support to the BU’s with key customer audits to ensure consistency across locationsComplete audits of material & equipment suppliers, to highlight risk & promote improvementSupport to all BU locations to ensure compliance and certification for ISO 9001 & BRC / IOP, ISO 22000.Suppliers & MaterialsWork with Central Procurement Team to ensure that effective systems are in place to track the performance of key suppliers into the Business Work with Central Procurement team for the approval of new supplier (specification, quality and food safety system).The successful applicant will have a good understanding of Plastic/Polymer materials, additives and colorants, along with injection, blowing, extrusion and recycling processes.Education, Work Experience, Skills And Competencies RequiredComputer skills (MS Office)Knowledge of English – Advanced KnowledgeTeam playerCommunication and problem-solving skillsKnowledge Of Technical SkillsQuality Mgmt. standards (ISO 9000:2015, BRC) – BasicKnowledge Risk Management (FMEA, HACCP) – Basic KnowledgeOther Quality Mgmt. techniques (process flowchart, Ishikawa diagram, Pareto diagram, internal audits) – Average KnowledgeProject Management – Basic KnowledgeEquipment calibration – Basic KnowledgeLocation for the role is flexible and, therefore the candidate is not required to relocate, however, business travel will be expected.All applications from candidates with suitable experience will be considered, the ability to perform successfully in the role being more important than academic qualifications.Salary will be commensurate with the background and experience of the successful candidate.Plastipak is an Equal Opportunity EmployerIn order to process your job application, Plastipak collects and stores the personal information that you submit via this website.
