Join our team today!Job DescriptionThe role of the Quality Improvement Intern will report to the Director, Quality and Patient Safety. The Quality Improvement Intern will support the Quality and Patient Safety Department and collaborate with other stakeholders on various projects related to quality improvement and patient safety. Your contributions will encompass quality improvement projects and various administrative responsibilities. You will collaborate with key stakeholders to implement solutions for identified improvement opportunities, map out new processes, develop new pathways; analyze, interpret and disseminate data as it is related to clinical practice, patient safety and quality. You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and have an astute ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects simultaneously.Accountabilities:Support key corporate quality improvement, patient safety and professional practice initiativesSupport continuous improvement focused on such areas as clinical appropriateness of care, efficiency, effectiveness, work-flow, access to care, continuity of care, safety and patient experienceApply a systems-focused approach to achieve optimal results in quality, safety, reliability, efficiency and productivityDevelop and identify performance and outcome indicatorsEngage in collection, interpretation, analysis and presentation of performance dataPartner with Risk Management on key patient safety initiatives, where appropriateDevelop presentations, reports and training and educational materialQualificationsEnrollment in a Master of Business Administration programRegistered Nurse in good standing with minimum of two years of health care experienceData management and statistical experience desirableProven ability to remain up to date with health care quality assurance trends, practices and legislationExperience in collecting, analyzing and interpreting data for the purposes of quality improvementPrevious experience in hospital projects preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office suite and designing software (e.g. Canva)Experience with health care information systems and electronic health recordsCore competencies:Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, organizational, problem solving and communication skillsEffective at building relationships and collaborating with stakeholder groupsSelf-directed and able at managing projects and prioritiesExceptional computer skillsMust demonstrate Osler's Values of Respect, Excellence, Service, Compassion, Innovation and CollaborationAdditional InformationHours: Currently days eight hours, Monday to Friday (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)Posting Deadline: November 24, 2025 Salary: $24.20#TFTOsler values inclusivity and diversity in the workplace.
