About The RoleAs the Quality Manager – Pacific Islands, you’ll be responsible for ensuring all quality management systems and processes are effective, fit for purpose, and consistently implemented across multiple projects. Your focus will be on driving continuous improvement and building a strong quality culture across the region.Key Responsibilities IncludeEnsuring the McConnell Dowell Integrated Management System and Project Execution Manual are effectively implemented across all Pacific projects.Supporting project teams in developing, implementing, and reviewing project quality management systems.Leading continuous improvement initiatives for quality, completions, commissioning, and document control systems.Establishing and promoting a strong quality culture, ensuring all employees understand their quality responsibilities.Conducting compliance reviews, audits, and inspections in consultation with project representatives.Preparing and submitting monthly quality performance reports and key performance indicators (KPIs).Coordinating and facilitating ISO 9001 recertification audits with third-party auditors.Managing the closeout of non-conformances and ensuring lessons learned are shared across all relevant projects.Participating in project risk assessments and supporting the development of risk control documentation.Providing leadership, mentorship, and development to quality personnel within the business unit.About You You’ll bring deep operational experience and a proactive, solutions-focused approach to quality management.Minimum 10 years’ experience in applying quality management principles within the civil construction industry.Relevant technical qualifications in engineering, construction, or quality disciplines.Lead ISO 9001 Auditor Certification and strong understanding of audit and risk assessment processes.Demonstrated experience in investigating and reporting quality incidents and implementing corrective actions.Proven ability to develop teams and promote a culture of accountability and excellence.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across diverse project teams.Competent user of quality management software and related systems.Flexibility to travel to Pacific Island project sites as required.About UsMcConnell Dowell – Creative ConstructionOur purpose is Providing a Better Life.
