This position ensures standards, processes and departmental performance.Main Responsibilities:Optimize and standardize the activities according to established Quality standards and processesDevelop and implement processes, procedures and work methods to ensure the effective use of labourWork closely with department managers to ensure collaboration and communication between departmentsIdentify, implement and monitor opportunities for Quality improvementManage the Quality program and conduct internal training and auditsAct as a leader for the management and processing of non-compliance files to avoid recurrence and support to different departments with respect to complaints, non-conformities, discrepancies etc.Carry out root cause analyses and action plans relating to quality indicatorsManage internal and external audits, ensuring that findings are addressed, and corrective actions are implemented in a timely mannerDevelop and complete action plans following audits and program updatesPerform validations, monitoring and verificationsCoach employees to improve Quality standardsSupervise, coach and manage performance development for department employeesPlan, approve staffing requirements and participate in recruitment; collaborate in the onboarding of new employeesAssess and ensure the development of skills for department employees and maintain team spiritComply and ensure compliance with OHS policies and procedures, good manufacturing practices for food safety and HACCP programExecute quality improvement projects directly related to quality control activities according to company requirements and established standardsEstablish new protocols and improve existing protocols for internal complaints and/or customer requirementsManage the QMS document control programTrack and monitory Quality KPIsEmbody and display the company core values of Humility, Safety & Integrity, Responsibility, Teamwork and AutonomyRequirements:University degree in food science, microbiology or other relevant fieldFive (5) years of experience in a similar position, including at least 3 years in managementExperience in the agri-food industry and manufacturing sectorExperience in Primus and Organic Certification is an assetProficient in Microsoft office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook)Functional bilingualism (French and English), knowledge of Spanish is an assetKnowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, GFSI)Strong leadership skills including interpersonal, listening and communication skillsExcellent sense of priorities, judgment and urgencyVegPro International is committed to employment equity and diversity.
