Job Summary :The Quality Process Principal is responsible for ensuring process quality performance and compliance throughout all manufacturing stages. The role focuses on implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving process controls to achieve defect-free production, enhance product reliability, and meet customer requirements. This position serves as the technical expert for process quality systems, leading cross-functional teams in problem-solving and preventive actions.Key Responsibilities:Lead the implementation and monitoring of process quality systems to ensure compliance with customer and internal standards.Define and maintain quality control parameters, process flow diagrams, PFMEA, and control plans for each production process.Analyze process performance data and identify opportunities for improvement to reduce scrap, rework, and variation.Lead process capability studies and ensure processes are statistically stable and capable.Conduct regular process audits and ensure proper documentation and corrective actions.Support production teams in root cause analysis and drive permanent corrective and preventive actions using 8D, 5 Whys, and Fishbone methodologies.Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to validate new equipment, tools, and process changes.Ensure robust process validation, change management, and risk assessment procedures are in place.Provide technical training and coaching to quality and production engineers on quality tools and problem-solving techniques.Participate in customer meetings, audits, and technical discussions to represent process quality performance.Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering (or a related field).5–10 years of experience in Process or Quality Engineering within a manufacturing or automotive environment.Strong knowledge of quality management systems (IATF 16949, ISO 9001).Proficient in APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA methodologies.Experience with process capability analysis (Cp, Cpk) and statistical quality control.Hands-on experience in manufacturing processes (e.g., assembly, injection molding, extrusion, crimping, or wiring).Strong problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills.Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination abilities.Six Sigma Green Belt or Lean Manufacturing certification is preferred.
